US$ 7,000 were sent to the Rotary Foundation in September for the PHF challenge grant and 14 PHFs were allocated to our Club.
Participation in projects and attendance at club meetings was mixed.
The Strategy and Development Committee also decided to revive the Peace & Unity project, which will be headed by PP Dan Bundhoo.
The visit of the District Governor, Jean-Claude Hoareau, took place on 21st January.Overall, the Rotary year 2008/09 was a rather active year in terms of projects and Chairmen Anand Gopal and PP Nand Sooredoo were instrumental in that achievement. Participation in club projects and meetings was mixed, which may be due to several members having key roles in the DG's team but also to a lack of commitment.
