Putting on record events
in the life of a Rotary Club is always a very welcome matter and is continuously
encouraged by Rotary International. I am therefore very happy to learn that
the Rotary Club of Port Louis has accomplished their project of bringing
out the history of the Club. I convey my congratulations and my appreciation
to President Michel Hardy and his fellow members for having successfully
completed this project during the seventy‑fifth anniversary year of
our movement.
As time goes by access
to resource material becomes difficult. I therefore hope that this laudable

decade when Port Louis Rotarians celebrate their Club's Silver Jubilee they
will then have at their disposal authentic means to learn of their Club's
past record of service and about those who contributed to promote Rotary
ideals in their community.
